Tanjung Rhu Resort: sun, sea and sand Part 3

Assalamualaikum.

Hi folks! This will be my second attempt to write Part 3 for my post on Tanjung Rhu Resort: sun, sea and sand. My first attempt ended in a disastrous way. I accidentally press the delete button and all the write up was gone in a split second! I was nearly 95% complete, with minor touch up here and there. I was so devastated that I felt like I want to forego Part 3 altogether. Lesson learnt, I need to backup my write up in other mediums as well. Oh well, that's how thing goes , you win some and you lose some.

You can read Part 1 and Part 2 from the links below:

Tanjung Rhu Resort: sun, sea and sand Part 2

It has been more than eight months since our trip to Tanjung Rhu Resort. That's how long it took me to finally write Part 3. Heck, within that eight months, we even had our second trip to the Tanjung Rhu Resort. I'm not a full time blogger, so there will be delay here and there. Sorry.
Below are gifts from the resort for having our second stay there. How thoughtful.

Now, let start with the Day 2 and Day activities from our first visit to the outstanding resort.

Day 2

It was a beautiful morning. Everybody had a good night sleep. The beds were very comfortable. After forcing ourselves out of beds, we excitedly walk to Sands Restaurant for breakfast.

The morning view from our room. Nice huh?

Sands Restaurant was clean and had a high ceiling, giving the impression of large space. There were plenty of foods served ranging from local delicacies to foreign offerings. Long queue were non existent. So relaxing.

After a hearty breakfast, we went for a short stroll on the beach. The water was calm and clear. We can't resist ourselves to go and have a quick dip.

Can you spot the small fishes from the picture below?

It was nearly 11am, and it was time to make way to the Watersport area to catch a boat ride for our complimentary daily programme. On that day, we had the chance to go for fish and eagle spotting. And, yup, you guess it right, the resort paid for it!! It was a complimentary from Tanjung Rhu Resort due to renovation work that was currently on going there at the resort. Our first stop was at the fish feeding area.

Can you spot bats on the background?

Next, we went for eagle watching. Those birds were majestic, I'm out of words to describe them. Hope the pictures will help.

We were back at the resort roughly around 2 in the afternoon. Not wanting to waste our time there at the resort, the whole family decided to head to Sunset Pool for a dip. We had our lunch by the pool. So cool..we spent a good 5 hours there by the pool. Just relaxing.....

One thing which was popular with my two sons was fish feeding near the ponds beside the Reading Room. You can ask for fish pellets from the counter and start feeding them hungry fish. If you are lucky, you can see a "biawak" or a monitor lizard under the wooden decking. The lizard was HUGE!

A time to chill out at the bar below the reading room. Cannot complain about the view. Majestic!

Day 3

It was our last day at the resort. I was up early on that morning. Decided to go for a stroll on the beach alone. The rest of the family were still enjoying their sleep. Can we buy the mattress? It was so comfortable......
It was low tide. I was able to head to the sand bar and took a few pictures of nature in action. Gorgeous!

Here was the Sands Pool. Restricted to adult only. No children allowed.

And here was the Lagoon pool. It was filled with salt water. When we were there, we noticed that the pool was under utilised. Do not know why...

After a late breakfast, the family decided that it was time to pack up. We were sad to leave, wondering when we can set foot again at the beautiful resort. (We were lucky enough to go back to the resort in May this year).

I try not to write too much in this 3rd post. I was hoping that the pictures will help to do all of the talking. If you have questions though, do leave them on the comment bar below.

In summary, Tanjung Rhu Resort was the best place that we went on holiday to. Every single place that we went since the trip to Tanjung Rhu felt plain and boring. The expectation are now high. My advice is....do plan for a stay at the Tanjung Rhu Resort whenever you are on holiday in Langkawi.

That's all folks! Thank you for stopping by this humble blog.
