It was a beautiful Saturday morning. 21st June 2014 to be exact. Two, or three weeks leading to that day, I'd been noticing banners and buntings all over Penang for an opening ceremony of showhouses, built for a new housing development within the vicinity of Taman Pauh Jaya in Perai.
The project on showcase was Arcaria. A project under development by Uda Land. The housing development consist of 3 storey bungalow (1 unit), 3 storey semi-d (12 units) and 3 storey terrace (13 units). Judging from the amount of housing units on sale, Arcaria was meant to be a low density development, emphasizing more on exclusivity for the high end market. I made up my mind quite instantly that I want to spend a small chunk of my time on that Saturday by making a trip to the opening ceremony. Not that I want to get free breakfast or free lunch, I just want to explore, feel and touch at properties that are worth RM1,000,000 and more! But, I cannot deny that those egg tarts served on that day were good. Hmmmmm....where can I get more of those egg tarts? I should grab more than one...sigh....Ok, back to the topic.
I'm taking an opportunity to share a few pictures from the show house and the construction areas. I'm sharing pics from the semi-d project. No pictures for the terrace though...sorry. I had my family on tow during that day, and it was a hot day. We decided to visit the semi-d and skip the terrace.

Bedroom on the first floor. Nice size for visiting relative. Suitable for the older folks that might find it difficult to take the stairs to the bedrooms on first and second floors.

.....a small opening from the bathroom that lead you to a balcony, Cool..imagine having a jacuzzi there. It can be fun.

.....and finally, pictures from the construction area. Note the use of red fire bricks for the walls. The sister project for Arcaria, the Scarlet Villa, which are priced higher than Arcaria uses only the white sand bricks.
I kept on talking with my wife on how beautiful and spacious the semi-d was. We can imagine, us as a family building memories inside of that house. There are faults, but with the help of a good contractor, those faults can be rectified.
Major stumbling block is the price. RM1,000,000. There are too many zeros! It seems out of our reach. Well, we need to keep on dreaming, only then we have something to aim for.

DeleteNtah...harga pauh jaya melambung macam kat island...Uda push the market price... rasanye 650k for 3ST house reasonable price..apa pendapat bro...
ReplyDeleteAbout 5km to 10km away dari Taman Pauh Jaya, Sunway ada setup a new kawasan perumahan. Namanya Sunway Wellesley. Dekat situ, rumah townhouse 1 setengah tingkat pun harganya sudah cecah RM500k....jadi kalau RM650k utk 3 storey terrace yg UDA offering di Arcaria tu, saya rasa it is a good deal. It is reasonable considering Taman Pauh Jaya ni locationnnya sangat bagus....
